As the principal of the Adventist School Mouseitbeh (ASM) in Lebanon, it is my pleasure to share about the school’s special educational journey. Located in the dynamic and historic city of Beirut, the school is a light of knowledge and hope in the middle of a rich cultural and historical environment.
There are unique difficulties that come with running a Christian institution in an area where people of other faiths predominate. Still, we are committed to providing an all-encompassing Adventist education. At ASM, we are dedicated to fostering our students’ moral, intellectual, and spiritual growth. We draw inspiration from Proverbs 22:6, which states, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
In addition to encouraging academic development, our curriculum aims to inculcate leadership, compassion, and resilience in students, equipping them to be lights in their communities—as suggested in Matthew 5:16: “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
We demonstrate our commitment to Christian values through our ability to uphold our convictions while promoting an atmosphere of tolerance and respect for people of other religious backgrounds. By taking part in this global movement, we aim to draw attention to the diversity and strength of the Adventist educational network.
We seek to inspire and connect with educators and administrators worldwide by sharing our experiences of faith, ingenuity, and resilience. We celebrate the shared mission of Adventist education to transform lives and influence a better future for everyone.
