Halloween: Should We Celebrate? by Dan Namanya
“The history of Halloween reveals that its celebration has no root in God’s Word. Its pagan origin and practices seem to have been forgotten today and made light of.”

Always on a Mission by Erton C. Köhler
“To face the missiological challenge and reach everyone, we need everybody. Our major investment in mission projects should move from areas with more missional capacity to parts with less capacity.”

Sexuality And Gender: A Biblical Perspective by Nicholas P. Miller
“The Bible values the characteristics of both sexes, and teaches that the genders should not be inappropriately muddled or mixed.”

Hearing God Above the Headlines by Kayle B. De Waal
“Drawing near to God is never self-generated but is rather the work of God Himself. He draws us not just with love, but also with lovingkindness.”

Embrace the Mud by Gustavo Mujica
“We all have different types of ‘mud’ in our lives. Some of us may be going through the worst ‘mud’ life can throw at us: economic crisis, broken relationships, health challenges, losing a loved one, or a spiritual problem. You name it. I am really sorry for your suffering. I hope and pray that, amid your ‘mud,’ you can feel encouraged to keep going. May you find a safe space to heal spiritually and emotionally, and, overall, may you experience God’s love embracing you.”

Carlot Dorvé: A Dialogue with an Adventist Trumpeter from Haiti by Laurie Snyman
Despite “hardships, and experiencing one setback after another, Carlot kept his goals steady and pursued them with undeterred perseverance. And today Dr. Carlot Dorvé is a music educator, trumpet performer, and recording artist.” In addition, his commitment to honoring the Sabbath has provided Dr. Dorvé with opportunities to share the gospel.

A Pioneer of Adventist Church School Curriculum: Alma Baker Mckibbin (1871–1974) by Laura Wibberding
“The following is a biography of Alma Estelle Baker McKibbin, a pioneering Adventist educator and author of the first Bible lesson textbooks for Adventist primary education. It is adapted from a longer article by Laura Wibberding in the Encyclopedia of Seventh-day Adventists (ESDA), available online at https://encyclopedia.adventist.org. Alma Baker McKibbin’s sacrifice and commitment to Adventist education make her a worthy example for many Adventist educators and students to follow in her footsteps of faith.”

“The Voice of Youth”: Central and South Philippines Welcome More Than 8,000 New Members to the Church by Petronio M. Genebago
“‘Unstoppable’ involved young people in mission and mobilized more than 14,280 young persons, divided into 557 teams, to conduct public evangelism in the central and south Philippines from March 18 to April 1. These evangelistic efforts were organized and conducted by students on public campuses, young adults, Ambassadors (ages 16–21), and Pathfinders (ages 10–15). Together, with the Holy Spirit, the effort welcomed 8,119 new disciples to Jesus and to the church.”
